Designed with experience in mind, The 1788 Ranch offers a calm, private setting where couples can celebrate fully present with their guests in a place that feels both luxurious and personal.

A Family-Built Wedding Venue in Southeast Georgia
Built by hand and built with heart, the ranch was created by our family with care and intention. Our signature white barn venue was designed and constructed by my father and completed just in time to host our own wedding in 2017, marking the beginning of this property’s story as a wedding venue.
Years later, we took over ownership from my parents with a shared passion to honor what was built and elevate it even further. Today, The 1788 Ranch (formerly known as The Barn at Live Oak Ranch) remains proudly family-operated, offering couples a venue rooted in craftsmanship, legacy, and care.
The Meaning Behind the Name
The 1788 Ranch represents both personal history and Georgia heritage:
1988 — Morgin’s parents’ wedding year
2017 — our wedding year, celebrated on this land
1788 — the year Georgia became a state
These dates reflect generations of marriage, commitment, and deep ties to Georgia. Every wedding held here becomes part of that story. Brunswick, Jesup, Hinesville, Savannah, Statesboro, Baxley, and beyond.
